ABOUT US

People Matter IW have launched a new and exciting service, The Learning Disability Support Centre. The centre is based at Bernard Way, Newport offering support to adults (18 years and over) with a Learning Disability on the Isle of Wight.

The Learning Disability Support Centre (LDSC) provides a range of educational and personal development services tailored to individual needs.

The Centre will give people with learning disabilities a voice, so they are listened to by those who provide services, our
aim is to get people talking to make services better.

Our new Autumn Term is starting on 6th September 2023.

Our students will be learning all about Living Independently. 🏚
The Living Independently Short Course comprises of the following modules:
• Earning and spending money
• Keeping track of your money
• Making financial choices
• A place of your own
• Career management
• Preparing for the world of work
