David is one of our Peer Support Workers. David has been with AIM for a long time, and helps us out with a variety of things. You will meet him at family support groups, games nights and our Dungeons and Dragons sessions. He's also a valued member of our Autism Partnership Board.
He's incredibly friendly, calm, gentle and easy to talk to, plus he knows the answer to almost any question.
"My name is David and I'm 52 years old. I was diagnosed with Autism 7 or 8 years ago. I have a lot of interests and I enjoy doing a wide variety of "nerdy" things! I love reading, writing, music and knowing about sports. Most of all I enjoy fantasy literature, board games, role-playing games, and particularly playing and running Dungeons and Dragons. I am enthusiastic about supporting other Autistic people to grow in confidence, helping them to communicate more effectively, and enjoying social time with others."
