CLAIRE

Claire is the Coordinator and Lead Person, and also manages the Sensory Library. She started AIM back in 2012.

"We've come a long way since 2012! I have two fantastic children, age 16 and 18 who are both neurodivergent. I also have a lovely husband and a very large puppy, Ty. I was diagnosed with Autism aged 38 and it changed my life (for the better!) I have some major sensory processing differences, Alexithymia and Prospropragnosia. I'm a skin-picker and a hair-puller and a constant stimmer. I also have chronic health conditions and use mobility aids, you will usually see me whizzing about on my yellow scooter (I hate the colour yellow!). I love Marvel, I especially love Thor and Groot. I'm a Terry Pratchett fan and TV binge-watcher. I love everything that we do at AIM, but I especially love how flexible we can be and that we are totally Autistic-led."
